Inspired by Wyoming legendary spurmaker, Rex Schnitger (1877-1947),
this large, heavy and very dramatic, full mounted in fine sterling silver
and 10K gold spurs feature an inlaid 1 1/16" wide, split Cheyenne heelband
with three floral engraved, domed buttons with gold stamens separated by inlaid silver flowers.
The 2 1/2" inlaid and domed shanks feature a remarkably chased and inlaid stylized bottle opener chap guard. The rowels
are chased and adorned with two completely different raised and engraved sterling rowels & washers. The off-side has Schnitger
style inlaid stripes with diamond motifs. Gary has continued the overall design on both the swivel silver & gold buttoned
heel chains as well as the 2 1/2" domed silver and gold conchos affixed with maker-marked,
sterling buckles, to two-piece basketstamped and scalloped leathers.
